| Beh, penso sia fuor di dubbio che Holmes e Watson provino affetto reciproco. Le reazioni "burbere" di Holmes nei confronti di Watson non indicano una carenza di affetto, quanto, come sottolineato dallo stesso Watson, una sorta di astio nei confronti delle "menti meno agili" se così possiamo dire. Watson dimostra molto più apertamente (e in molte più occasioni) l'affetto che prova nei confronti di Holmes, per dirne una ne "L'avventura del detective morente". Holmes invece, è meno esurebante, tuttavia dimostra anch'egli a più riprese l'affetto nei confronti del buon vecchio dottore. In particolare ne "L'avventura dei tre Garrideb". Non ricordando a memoria la scena, cito da wikipedia inglese: CITAZIONE For instance, in "The Adventure of the Three Garridebs", Watson is wounded in a confrontation with a villain; although the bullet wound proves to be "quite superficial", Watson is moved by Holmes's reaction:
"It was worth a wound; it was worth many wounds; to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation." A parer mio, questa è la più grande dimostrazione di affetto che Holmes potesse dare a Watson. p.s. mi scuso per aver detto mille volte "affetto" XD
